Tactical Handgun Instruction
You need to know and understand the following things:
Rules of Carry
-
Never leave your gun at home. Carry your gun as much as you can. You can’t use it if you don’t have it and you won’t have it when you need it most. If YOU have it no one else will and your gun won’t hurt an innocent party.
-
Carry your gun as deeply concealed on your body as possible. Carrying a gun is not comfortable but comforting. Become uncomfortable if you don’t have it on.
-
Never un-holster your gun unless you intend to use it for dry fire practice (dry fire rules apply here) or defense
-
If you must un-holster (say for a potty stop) exercise extreme muzzle awareness and trigger discipline. Focus your attention on it until it is re-holstered and your business is done.
-
Never un-holster a firearm to show it off or to demo things to others. You aren’t instructors yet, even they don’t.
-
When you un-holster for storage unload it as you have been trained.
