Warrior Philosophy

If you carry a firearm for protection, you absolutely must have thought about it.  Why, what, when, how, are all philosophical questions.  Why are you accepting this responsibility?

What consequences would there be for your actions?  Do you actively think about what might happen, what you would actually do?  Have you trained that way?  Are you in your soul a protector of innocents?

If so, then you are, as Col. Grossman says, a Sheepdog.

Understand you are not a sworn law enforcement officer with a duty to protect, but you may be willing to help by putting your life in jeopardy.

Think about what that might mean...  You present your firearm and due to lack of proficient practice and training you get killed.  Your family will be without you forever, or you may be critically injured and unable to perform your role for them due to a bad decision.Practice and train often. BE READY.

Combat Mindset

You must begin adopting a combat mindset...

Proverbs 23:7 “As a man thinks in his heart so is he."

If you think you are a warrior you probably are; if you don’t think you are, you certainly are not.

Warriors don’t quit, ever!  You must from the outset of combat adopt the attitude of I will be the last one standing.  A combat mindset means you know your essential skills, your tactics, and can bring them to bear to ensure your survival.

You spend a large portion of your life preparing for that one 10 second engagement.  You practice and practice for what might happen, but hopefully never will.  That practice won’t be wasted - when seconds matter and seem like hours.
