A Little About Me...
I became a warrior/poet myself about years ago when I caught a guy breaking into a rental property my company owned. The responding police officer said he fully expected me to be armed and was very surprised that I wasn’t.
He also strongly inferred that I needed to get my permit and carry if I planned on being in the business I was in. I had never imagined I would need to carry a firearm until that time. Sure, I had one in the night stand (big mistake,) but to carry one?
The longer I pondered it the more I became convinced he was right. I realized that I never knew when a truly evil individual might show up and want to hurt me or my loved ones.
If I didn’t have a firearm on me, how would I defend myself? My firearm, you know the one in the nightstand at home, wouldn’t be where I could use it at the time when I needed it most. So, I started carrying as a routine.
Then I started thinking that I really didn’t know when, or if I’d be justified, if I ever did have to actually shoot someone. I realized I needed to start training in a big way. My days of training and simulations as an airline captain showed me the importance of having a plan and training to that end.

I paid for a lot of expensive courses; and it was worth every penny. I learned how an urban warrior/guardian thinks. I learned that awareness is our real weapon. Our mind, and how we use it when the chips are down, is what gives us power. I eventually got certification as a handgun instructor and self defense law instructor.

I have actively been teaching tactics and training for about 8 years or so. I enjoy watching people deal with real problems and see their solutions to life and death situations.
